The Zephyr V8 Ultra-X is Ozone’s high-performance light-wind freeride kite, offering a wide 6–20 knot wind range, faster flying speeds and more responsive handling. Thanks to its Ultra-X construction, the 17 m kite is 17% lighter than the V7 and feels remarkably agile—more like a 13 m kite than a traditional light-wind machine.

ULTRA-X PERFORMANCE

The Ultra-X materials reduce the overall weight of the kite while improving its responsiveness, stability and aerodynamic efficiency. The lighter canopy and stiffer frame allow the Zephyr V8 Ultra-X to generate power through speed and forward drive instead of relying only on heavy, grunty pull.

Once you are up and riding, the kite continues to accelerate forward with less lateral pull. This makes it more comfortable to hold as the wind increases, while still delivering impressive low-end performance.

REFINED AERODYNAMICS

The Zephyr V8 Ultra-X features a continuous curved leading edge and transversal shaping. These design improvements reduce drag, smooth the airflow over the canopy and improve the lift-to-drag ratio for cleaner and more efficient performance.

• Lightweight 125 g performance Dacron on the leading edge and struts

WHO IS IT FOR?

The Zephyr V8 Ultra-X is ideal for intermediate and advanced riders who want to maximise their time on the water. It is equally suited to relaxed freeride sessions, light-wind cruising, floaty jumps, learning new tricks and riding in marginal conditions with any board choice.

Important: Ultra-X materials are structurally very strong but less abrasion-resistant than standard materials. Beginners who are likely to handle their kite roughly should consider one of Ozone’s larger Catalyst models instead.
